I finally relocated the Morrigan alphabet! Rejoice!
Karl looks up from his bowl of soup long enough to see Anders throw down his fork and run into the café they’re eating outside of with his hand clamped over his mouth.

“They will not have you!”
A is for Adelaide
Hawke was the only one who knew about the nightmares.
Never mentioned them, not even a flicker of an eyelid, or the touch of a hand. But she understood. Family now, forged in death and flame.
She helped Aveline to hide them, in the hold, taking turn and turn about to guard and watch amongst the refugees.
Desperation made them dangerous, and any weakness would be exploited.
No matter how loudly Aveline roared in her dreams, this time I will save you, this time they will die, this time their jaws will break against my shield, this time they will not reach you, this time we will succeed, this time you will stay by my side, this time, this time, this time, she always woke in silence.
Except for Hawke. A step away, balanced on her staff, her body still beyond the sway of the ship itself.
Her eyes never stopped moving though. Looking behind each shadow, as if hoping to see her sister step out of one.
Aveline did not permit herself to look for Wesley in the same way. She knew he wasn’t there, would never be there. She had killed him herself, after all, his blood forever stained beneath her skin.
Hawke had been willing to spare her. But there was no sparing Wesley. What relief could there be, in watching him die under someone else’s hands?
The cruelest cut of all, when your hand is on the blade.
You know, if someone prompted you to write an alphabet (favorite character? whole cast? mass effect alphabet?) it would cover you for TWENTY-SIX days ;D
What about a Joker alphabet?
Thinking back, he had no idea how his parents pulled it off, how they’d gotten ringside lodgings, how they’d made him a bedroom with an actual viewport, how they’d gotten a view of the dock. Not just any dock, a welding dock, one where they put together the very first basic framework of a ship.
A civilian dock, of course; the Alliance kept theirs carefully hidden away, so no one could spy on their newest designs. His mother got to see it, being a contractor, but she wasn’t allowed to show anyone, especially not allowed to drag her crippled little boy off to work with her, not even when every other office got flooded with children once a year for the job shadow program the school system had set up.
“What the hell…?”
Cortez looked up from his examination of the Kodiak’s new odds and ends to find Vega looking at his bunk, perplexed and - not to mince words - a little panicked. Steve couldn’t find it in him to keep the smirk out of his voice when he asked, “Someone been sleeping in your bed, Poppa Bear?”
“Yeah,” Vega said, still looking at the lump of blanket on his too-small-for-him-but-he-slept-in-it-anyway army cot in a corner of his little casa away from casa. “And it’s too hard - at least compared to what she usually sleeps on, from what I heard - but … she’s still there.” When he looked up at Cortez, Vega’s eyes were confused. “What’s the Commander doing in my bed? ‘Cos if this is some kind of welcome-to-the-Alliance present, I like my women … y’know. Conscious.”
They’re the same, but then again, they’re aren’t.
Their journey to Kirkwall has a rocky start…
Bethany gets her own bedroom at Vigil’s Keep. “We’ve lost some people recently,” Sigrun tells her, in a matter-of-fact tone. “And we like you better than the people from Weisshaupt, so you should claim one before any of them get here.”
She’s only too happy to oblige. The room she ends up with, she’s told later, is the one that was once occupied by the elven mage who joined the Wardens back when the Keep was first transformed - the one who, as far as Bethany has been able to figure, disappeared into thin air one day. Apparently, some of the Wardens think anything having to do with Velanna is bad luck, but Bethany doesn’t mind in the least. To have a bed she’s not afraid of rolling off in the middle of the night, a small wardrobe to store her (meager) belongings, someplace she can retreat to and close the door and not see anyone … it’s more than she’s had, well, ever. And it goes a long way toward making Amaranthine feel more like home than any place she’s been since Lothering.
Mission almost disappeared into the Wookie’s embrace, though she didn’t seem to mind. “I missed you too, Big Z!” She craned her neck to beam up at him. “You didn’t think I’d forget you, right? Mission and Zaalbar, together forever!”
Jay discreetly gagged, earning a gentle elbow to the side from Carth. “What?”
“I’m not nice. Ask the corpses in the hall.”
“You can be nice. I’ve seen it.”
“That doesn’t make me a nice person-”
Speaking of persons, there was one wrapped around her. More specifically there was a Mission who seemed determined to hug the life out of her. She cast a quick ‘help-me’ look at Carth, who just chuckled and mouthed “hug back”.
She didn’t do hugs. Not even for cute kids.
She warily patted the girl on her shoulder, which apparently satisfied Mission; she let go and turned to give Carth a hug that he actually returned. As her attention returned to Zaalbar, Carth smirked at Jay. “See? You’re nice.”
